About Us
Nepal Journey is a non-profit charitable organization established in 2015 under Section 501(C) (3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Our vision is to have a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged people in Nepal by creating alliances with philanthropists, identifying those in need, and facilitating those connections. Nepal Journey’s initial goal is to provide access to healthcare and a quality education to children and parents in Nepal. Nepal Journey intends to improve the quality of life of children and families in Nepal through health and education.
Our Vision

Nepal is a nation still struggling in good education System. The education system is undergoing reform. There have been significant gains, but Nepal is still far from reaching its international standards. Nepal does not currently have a strategy for increasing Internet access and public libraries for differently abled people.

Our Journey: Building Hope After Crisis
Nepal Journey's story begins with a founder driven by a profound desire to bring positive change to their community and offer aid to those in need. Despite a deep passion for helping others, the founder grappled with uncertainty on how to kickstart their efforts. The turning point emerged during a visit to extended family in Kathmandu, where the founder and their family endured the distressing impact of a massive earthquake on April 25, 2015.
Enduring several days and nights filled with fear, sleeplessness, and exposure to the cold rain without electricity and proper shelter, the founder, accompanied by their two young children and husband, experienced a wave of gratitude upon swiftly returning to the U.S. This timely escape spared them from potential health issues arising from the aftermath of the earthquake.
Upon returning to Euless, Texas, the founder took the initiative to launch a fundraising campaign named "Holding Hands." This marked the inception of their journey to extend assistance to those facing adversity. In December 2015, the commitment to this noble cause was solidified through the official registration of the non-profit organization Nepal Journey. This pivotal step symbolized the founder's unwavering dedication to making a lasting and positive impact in the lives of others, embodying the spirit of compassion and community support.
Nepal Journey is now involved in education, offering school supplies and constructing libraries from the ground up. They're also actively helping with medical needs by covering essential expenses. These expansions highlight NJ's commitment to creating a more compassionate and supportive world. As NJ continues its humanitarian journey, the ongoing support of donors is crucial for the organization to carry out its mission and have a lasting impact on those in need. The synergy between the founder's vision and the generosity of donors remains the backbone of NJ's ability to create meaningful change and contribute to the well-being of individuals and communities.
